The relaunch of the podcast is at hand. Dr. Ken hosts a teaser on some of the technical demos Chus and I have been doing to work with this new-fangled 2021 technology.

That was literally a test. The audio on my side was fine. I'm using SquadCast to capture separate audio tracks on each side that gets uploaded to the cloud. Each side is uploaded in realtime so if there is a technical glitch, you do not lose the audio that has recorded to that point.

You can then download the separate tracks and do your post-production. I decided to follow this one through the whole process to see if the audio quality changed to the final product. Sometimes what sounds like poor audio in post-p ends up sounding fine. I would say this did not but there are a few minor tweaks that I think will make this sound quite good.

I've got a full mixing board that I'm trying to avoid using since this process is much simpler. I'm going for simple. I probably could have run some additional effects on the Chus audio track but I'm determining the balance between simple and necessary.

I've been messing around with GarageBand and Zoom and a few other options for a couple weeks and I didn't like any of those - far too touchy. This will ultimately work for audio quality I think. It just needs some adjustments.
