Decent enough. I recommend you do a minimal amount of research on the topics ahead of time. I noticed the same thing on the prior iteration where one or both of you are just guessing about the topic at hand. I mean, if Subway is serving plastic bread, it might be worth digging a bit deeper on stuff like that.

I'm excited about this, Noiseman. What are your audience goals for this podcast? If you are trying to extend your reach beyond CFMB, I suggest changing the name to something more accessible than the "Dr. Ken" podcast.

When is Chus coming back? Does he know we "cancelled" IMU?

The goal at this point is just to get it started again.

Work up a schedule that makes sense to record/edit/release without stressing me out so I can actually enjoy it.

Try out a few things to see what works and what does not.

I don't have any audience goals. The original podcast had already reached pretty far beyond the CFMB so it would be nice to at least get back to those numbers. But, that's not why I'm doing it. I need a hobby. Something that isn't work. And I enjoy doing this.

Overall, I just want to produce something that people get the sense that the hosts are enjoying. There is a genre out there for just that type of low-key, relaxed conversation. It's not for everyone and I get that. It is a difficult tone to hit. But, we will give it a shot.

The name issue is discussed in the first few episodes and likely beyond.

CHUS

betting the same amount on every game is NOT the way you build your bankroll unless you are in the probably top 5% of sports gamblers out there (maybe a little bigger but certainly no worse than top 25%)

You have to rate games within some system you choose and increase or decrease the bets based on confidence: say 1* for action games, 2* for good feeling, 3* for high confidence.

of course you could bet only on those games for which you have high confidence but that isn't the normal person and there won't be enough action per week to get you anywhere

IIRC, CHUSE typically bets very small amounts. Not more than a couple bucks. Its more of a hobby for him than an actual means of improving his bankroll.

He can correct me if I am wrong, but I do remember him explaining it that way a couple of times in the past.

the amount doesn't really matter as it is truth no matter your bankroll (1% is 1% no matter dollar amount). You have to hit at 55+% just to break even if all bets are equal. If you are doing that, you could probably sell your picks.

Anyway, I'm a firm believer in throwing down big when you see your very high confidence play. I think I hit well over 55% on those type plays across many years. A smart, disciplined person would say to only play those plays then but I'm neither...at least during football season.
