I see Zach Johnson pulled off the win. Nice to see the American pull it out. He has been a solid player for so many years now, the Claret Jug has to feel
good in his hands. I happened to be home for lunch to see him drain that long putt on 18 in regulation and those are the kind of moments that end up
being really big in the end.

Well I guess that settles the question once and for all, will Spieth ever win the British Open. The answer, a resounding NO.


I guess that also lets us know that he isn't a hockey fan...or doesn't pay much attention to sports outside of his own.

I know everyone was watching the Open last weekend, but did anyone catch the American Century Celebrity tournament from Tahoe? I recorded it all and just finished watching it last night. Love that tournament. Its great to watch the best in the world play, but I really enjoy seeing how the other half lives too. Its a good mix of some really good golfers and then some really terrible ones.

The main draw this year was Justin Timberlake making his debut. He was paired up with Alfonso Ribera and Jerry Rice. All 3 can play a bit. Timberlake actually had a pretty solid game, I would guess that he's around a 10 handicap, maybe even a little lower.

At the top end it was a 3 way battle between Mark Mulder, Josh Scobee and Eric Gagne for the title. All 3 are really good, I would guess scratch or pretty close to it. In the end Mulder won on the final hole.

At the other end you had guys like Charles Barkley who is terrible but was obviously having a great time all weekend with his playing partner, Kevin Nealon.

Was really impressed with Ray Allen's game, he claims to be scratch and probably isn't that far off.

All in all its very entertaining to watch. The par 3 17 rivals the Stadium hole in Phoenix for roudiest, funnest holes in golf. Hole goes right along the beach and its packed with boaters and people partying on the beach. All the players interact with the crowd throughout the entire hole. The football players throw balls to people on the beach, there's a bball net set up for players to attempt long shots, caddy races to the green, etc.

I love watching this every year, one of the most entertaining golf events on tv imo.

Watched it more on Saturday, and Aaron Rodgers shot -2. He was 5 under thru 13 and had a bogey and double finish coming in. Those leaders are better than scratch players I believe, they hit some really good shots.
