Last time, there wasn't much interest. I can try again, for sometime in Mid-May.

Playoffs start tonight.

Hoping I can keep my momentum going from the last few weeks.

how did you hit 'em boyd? i bowled a 611 last night in our roll-off including an inspired 162 in game 2. i had a 54 in the 5th frame, 4 opens and a spare to start that game. otherwise i bowled well. we ended up splitting and i think we finished 6th in the league. i ended up at 206 for the season, my best year ever.

i am totally ready for the season to be over.

676-220-243-213...more importantly we are in the final four for the championship. ..which is worth damn good money in this league. Been on a pretty good stretch the last few weeks. Averaging about 210 going into the playoffs...feeling good...especially with sitting on a 191 season long average.

Bowling the Illinois state USBC tournament today in Waukegan. Should be fun.

637 singles...642 doubles...shot sucked and carrying was an issue...but pleased overall...and got to spend some quality time bowling with my dad.

Officially won my men's league tonight. Shot 211 and 246 in the deciding games...3rd game was used to tinker with some new equipment. Woot.

1721 over 9 games at the USBC Open in Reno. Looks like I will cash in singles, too.

Honestly, the toughest shot I have ever bowled on.

Ours is tonight. I have been a floating sub for the past four years, due to having very young children, and my wife's work schedule. I am actually going to be a part of a team this year.

The season starts in two weeks, and I haven't rolled since the middle of April. Practice tonight could be ugly.

Opening night yesterday. 224 227 267 = 718

Really felt great out there. Especially good considering i hadn't picked up a ball all summer.

Can't wait to get back out there next week.

Good luck bowling, my bowling friends!

Tell me more about this.. is it every man for himself, or teams?

Really good shooting with, like you describe, a tough shot.

off to an up and down start this season, through 3 weeks I'm at 196. i cut my middle finger with a razor blade at work yesterday and was going to bow out and get a sub as it was really hurting today, but a guy on our team quit and we were already short so i gutted out a painful 560 tonight. i couldn't put any lift on the ball and left 7-pin after 7-pin, i must have left a dozen of them tonight. very frustrating but all in all, considering how bad it hurts and is throbbing right now, it could have been worse. i bowled a 657 monday night subbing for another team and was getting better as the night went on. i have felt pretty good so far, i think there are some big series to come this year.

good luck bowlers, i hope you all have good seasons!

I am bad at 10-pins again. I covered 3 of 5 tonight. The only other open was a 4-9 split, where I just missed the edge of the 4 pin. I covered a 3-6-7 split. I probably would have shot 800, if we were playing 9 pin, no tap.

The new owners have made the shot tougher. Averages are down across the league. They are putting a ton of money into the place, so that's nice.

Not quite. There are a ton of guys that are better than me. I'm not in the upper echelon of suburban, amateur bowlers, but I am in the next tier. I am very good, not great.

If you are left handed, you automatically drop to the 2nd tier. :)

My dad gave me his old ball, since I never owned a nice one. I'll be looking to bowl if anyone is wanting to.

Averaging 200 on Tuesdays and 198 on Thursdays.

Shot 701 a couple of weeks back. Had the front 9 in the first game Tuesday. Feeling good in both leagues to start the year.

Last week, I shot 185-184-207--576, which was the highest score on our pair of lanes, and the 5th highest out of 40 bowlers. Apparently, they put down the wrong oil patterns before we started. They put down a sport shot, rather than a house shot. So, we were basically shooting on tournament conditions.

Last night, I shot 245-195-207--647. Only two opens, one split and one ten pin. Very grindy over the last two games.

Averaging 200.86 so far through seven weeks. The conditions have been tougher since the new owners bought the place, but I prefer it this way.
