Just got my order from Lost Golf Balls, a 60-pack of "refinished" Titleist Pro V1x balls. Outside of the "refinished" marking ostensibly required by law, I'd say 90% of these things are indistinguishable from the genuine article, at least as far as looks go. There have been a handful I've seen that clearly had a new layer put over a gouge, but overall I'm excited to see how these play. For $73 I figured I could experiment with refinished balls.

Great golf weather this week, too. These forecasts are depressing as hell :(

Was out of town last couple of days and come back to 2 inches of snow on the ground. Oh there are 2-3 more inches coming starting tomorrow
you say? Was hoping to play this weekend but I doubt that will be possible now.

Some nice courses west of Louisville in southern Indiana.

Seriously considering the five-hour drive this weekend.

If the forecast holds it should be warm enough this weekend. That's assuming it's dry enough.

Yup. Low 50s here on Saturday. Provided we don't get a ton of rain over the next 36 hours, that is golfable weather.

Went and hit some balls today at my local range, and surprisingly they said to use the grass instead of the mats. It wasn't sloppy, but about halfway through of a large bucket, there was the Divot Section of my parcel and the Water-Logged Section from my feet constantly turning over.

Next three successive weekends the course where I play is having 3 demo days. This weekend Callaway, next weekend Taylor Made,
and the final week Titleist. They are giving 150% of the value of any clubs you trade in plus you get 10% of whatever you spend on
a new club as clubhouse credit. Been kicking the around the idea of a new driver and thought maybe I would toss my old clubs in
the back and give the new Rogue a few swings tomorrow. If I can get $100 knocked off the price and get fit for a new driver then
I feel like it is just a high priced driver rather than an obscenely priced one. If I don't like the Callaway I try a Twist Face next weekend.

8am tee time tomorrow and then demoing a Rogue driver. I'll play Sunday too, probably early again. Likely move up a tee box since
there will be no roll this weekend.

Saw a bunch of carts on a course out here yesterday. Was surprised to see it but it was a pretty nice day and ground has semi firmed up.

8:52 tomorrow at dograck River Oaks, but golf is golf. A sub-90 score would be nice.

Had a lesson from my PGA buddy this past Monday morning before we left Naples. One little adjustment made all the difference in the world. Just hitting into a net, so I am looking forward to the range.

Also had him size me for clubs. 37.25" 5 iron initial measure, but all clubs reduced by 1/4" and 1 degree flat.
37.0 5I
36.5 6I
36.0 7I
35.5 8I
35.0 9I

Had to switch courses as the one I had a tee time for won't be open this weekend. More snow out west than we have here by the lake.
Playing the course in town. Looking like that driver fitting will get cancelled to. Firm believer in things happening for a reason.

Played 9 on the refinished Pro V1x's today. To be honest I couldn't tell a difference from the gifted box of Callaway Chrome Soft I had been playing out of previously, which I guess is exactly what you want to hear on refinished balls.

All the balls I played maintained their finish throughout the round, no immediate scuffs or blemishes or paint/logo smearing. Want to see how they play when air temperature is solidly above 60.

Left quite a few putts short yesterday with the SeeMore on the shaggy greens. Going to take the much lighter Ping out tomorrow.

Weather worked out really well this weekend. Some standing water in a couple of areas as well as a bit of snow in some shady areas
but overall quite happy with how I hit the ball. I think we are off and running and looking back on things I am thankful to have 7 full
rounds and two 9 holers under my belt already considering the slow start.

Beautiful weather this weekend. Hopefully we are finally turning the corner and will get into MANY springlike days.

92 (49-43) at River Oaks on Saturday morning. A slight chill in the air, but almost no wind and the course was in pretty decent shape considering there was 2" of snow on it 6 days ago. Really struggled the first 5 holes carding a double, a triple on a par 3 with a lost ball, and a 3 putt bogey from about 15'. Started putting it together after that though. Took damn snowman on the par 5 15th with a terrible drive OB, but other than that I had all pars and single bogeys from #6 on. Hit the driver well, blocked out some of my irons to the right, but at least I know what was causing that. Putting and chipping was just so-so, but the greens were damp and shaggy so I'm taking those results with a grain of salt.

Hopefully this will be the start of some regular golf weather as my season will drastically slow down around Labor Day with the arrival of the little one.

Got a Fujikura Fuel 70 Patriot shaft for my 12-degree [adjusted 2 degrees down] R15, and it has definitely helped me generate more consistent contact while not having the ball balloon up into the air.

Still though I can't help but think I'm leaving yards on the table with the CG point of the R15, which when coupled with TM's shoddy tolerances at the time (they got much better in 2017 according to MyGolfSpy) results in launching the ball high into the air with more spin than I'd like.

As such, I'm trying real hard to not pull the trigger on an M4 or M3, the latter's adjustability may "future proof" my swing as I get stronger and take some lessons.

I've come across a couple of pretty aggressive geese in my 35 years of golfing but I had to laugh at this...

I would of whooped that goose's ass with the L.ville Slugger and we would of had that sucker on the grill at the clubhouse.

51-46 yesterday at Broken Arrow. MANY duffed shots as for some reason I feel the need to swing as hard as I possibly can at times. When I don't and put a nice, smooth, controlled swing together, the ball goes plenty far enough. I chipped incredibly well and only had one three putt so the short game saved some bogeys, but three 7's and an 8' is not a recipe for success. Going to concentrate more on a smooth 80% swing next time out (or at the range) and hope that eliminates most of the wasted shots.

Great weather and the course was in nice shape, as per usual for that place.

I like Broken Arrow. Let's make a point of playing Ravisloe this year, Franklin. Been meaning to knock that one off my list.
