Incredible finish today by Berger. Kind of felt for Lashley on #16. We’ve all been there. Course looked to be in wonderful shape.

65 on Sunday with 2 Eagles. :salut:

Going to try to watch a little bit of this today if it is on TV. I enjoy the Riviera Country Club and usually brings out a very nice field. Some really tight holes and a nice finishing stretch.

I wasn't able to get away from work so maybe today. Definitely this weekend. Very busy time of year for work and I will likely be working over the weekend. I am starting to itch for a vacation but it is probably going to still be a month out. Wife and I kicking around ideas of Charlotte, Tampa, or Phoenix but we will see. Have clubs, will travel.

I got super busy and forgot all about it. I really like this tournament. Will be catching a bit today for sure.

Good for Homa. That shot up against the tree was great.

Finau just doesn't seem to have the killer instinct. I watched or read an interview not long ago talking about what the deal was with Finau. The person talking said that when the pressure is on his swing gets a little shorter and quicker and that is sure what it looked like on that final hole when he overcooked it into the sand. He also just isn't a very clutch putter.

Yeah. I like him, but he always seems to wilt when in contention on Sundays. Maybe if he wins again it will help him calm down or whatever, but he definitely doesn't seem a guy that anybody is afraid of going up against late on a Sunday. He has also lost on the first playoff hole four times in a row now.

Not sure I want to see him on the Ryder Cup team, and as of right now he has automatically qualified.

Agree. With a partner he might get by. No way he wins a singles match unless his opponent plays terribly.

I say that after he shot a 64 yesterday and would have beaten almost anyone in the field, but just don't like his game as much under extreme pressure. He was partially able to shoot that well because he was so far back when he teed off.

There's probably something to that. Now that I think about it, I can't remember the last time I saw him the final group or second to final group on a Sunday.

Im always reminded of NIcklaus' quote ( paraphrasing) on how he automatically eliminated most of the field ifrom winning in his mind because he knew most of them didnt have the mental makeup to keep making shots when things got tight , when you see someone like Finau lurking .

Tony has played in 1 Ryder Cup and 1 President's Cup. He won his singles match at the Ryder Cup and halved it at The President's Cup.

I see a report of Tiger being in an accident in California and they had to use the jaws of life to free him.

Single vehicle accident, that mother fucker looked fucked up on TV the other day, can't wait to see what comes of this.

By the way, I hope all is ok with him.

Hopefully not a career ender and he lives. He was the tournament host for the Genesis this weekend so not sure what he was doing out there but he has the Tiger Woods Center for kids and probably other sponsors out there. I don't think he is able to golf fully yet after his latest back surgery as Hawg mentioned.

He definitely looked distracted but not sure if he was fucked up or not. There is no reason for a guy like that to even have to drive anywhere himself.
