Saw the highlights this morning and I bet that was a good watch the last few holes and the playoff.

Agreed. I didn't know all that Kirk had been thru in is personal life, just that it had been a long since he won a tournament. Seemed like a really humble and appreciative dude.

Really good viewing for the last 60-90 minutes yesterday.

LIV Golf was put to shame by arch-rivals the PGA Tour after the latter’s tournament drew in far higher TV numbers.

The Saudi-backed circuit made their small-screen debut on the CW Network this past weekend for its season opener in Mayakoba, Mexico. An average of 286,000 and 291,000 viewers tuned in on Saturday and Sunday respectively to watch Phil Mickelson and co in action.

In stark contrast, the PGA Tour, who held the Honda Classic over the same weekend, brought in 1.61 million viewers Saturday and 2.38 million on Sunday on channel NBC. Charles Howell III went on to claim his first LIV Golf title with a stunning eight-under-par 63 in the final round.
The Honda Classic, with a fairly unremarkable field, draws 8 times more viewers than a rare live broadcast of a LIV event.

No more free travel on the Saudi dime for the LIV boys either.

PGA Tour makes some interesting choices by eliminating the size of fields and the cut for elevated events next year. On one hand it forces guys to play the elevated events, especially if they want to compete for the FedEx cup but some of the lower level guys will likely throw up their hands because they are going to have a hard time getting into these events.

Tell us you're bringing back WGC events without telling us you are bringing back WGC events.

The Palmer @ Bay Hill is always a tough test of golf and this should be an interesting tournament. Not sure how the weather is going to be but I heard that the wind will be kicking up tomorrow and possibly stormy conditions Saturday. $20 million purse and elevated event makes this a must watch for fans. Should be a pretty stacked leaderboard.

Looks like the top players got pulled off the course early yesterday so a lot of golf today. MANY younger guys near the top with no history in big events. Still a few big names within striking distance of course. I’d keep an eye on Hovland and Ben An.

Min woo Lee with an epic meltdown.

Scheffler running away with it. I don't know why, but I never find myself rooting for him

Tom Hoge outscores Scheffler by three strokes over last three days, his Thursday 78 was fifth from worst score of the day.

He passed 117 golfers to tie for third, and missed a putt on 18 for outright third place.

Roller coaster ride, indeed.

Just no drama on that back nine. Scheffler is ok I guess, he doesn't have a lot of personality out there.

Because he has the personality of a coffee table. No denying he is playing great, but nothing there to get excited about.

Yeah but even Opie managed to kill a bird and get into trouble every so often.

Last WGC Match Play in Austin this week. Usually a fun one to watch. Guys getting ramped up for Augusta. Valspar was ok I guess. Interesting to see the young crop of guys up near the top.

People thinking Speith missed that putt on 18 on purpose to Schenk 2nd place all alone and an extra 250 k because he's a new dad ? I Know Speith is a pretty nice guy but I dont know if I can get on board with that.

I hadn't heard that one. Highly doubtful he would have missed on purpose.

I never felt Speith was laying down. That was a dumbass shot into the water though.

Speith missed an easier and shorter birdie putt on 17.

Fowler able to take down Rahm 2&1 in the opening round. Glad to see him playing better. I think he needs to make it to the quarterfinals (at least) to get into the field at Augusta for the first time in a few years. I'll be rooting for him.
