i have friends who live just outside augusta at the JD compact utility tractor plant. through JD he can get tickets for some of the pre masters festivities. he can also get into a John Deere lottery for a chunk of tickets they get access too where your chances are greater.

Anyhoo, we were down there the week of the masters and he asked if we should try and get tickets to wedn par 3 contest. they were 1100 dollars a piece.

Columbia SC is where we stayed two years ago. About a 50min drive from Augusta. Hotels were affordable and there was a lot to do there. Very family friendly zoo, but plenty of bars/restaurants as well.

For practice round last year we did an airbnb about 30 min outside columbia. If you fly there are several airports from which to choose so you don't have to use Augusta which will probably be expensive. We flew in to Greenville-Spartanburg which was the cheapest. Flight out was canceled (weather) but we got rebooked out of Columbia so it all worked out.

My mother won tickets to the Drive, Pitch and Putt contest the weekend before the Masters begins. She offered two tickets to my
wife and I but I don't think we are going to take her up on it. She is excited to go and they have the merchandise shop open for
guests so she will get first dibs on all that stuff which she is excited about. If my dad were to pass there is an outside chance we
would try to get Masters tickets somehow. He has some specific instructions about where he wants some of his ashes spread on the
property. They don't let you out on the course during the kids competition.
