One other thing, these Poa greens will get really bumpy as the day goes on and they dry out. Putting will not be fun.

They interviewed The Silvy-Looking Rocco Mediate (SHARK vibe) about the 2008 US Open. He seems to have a decent reflection on it but I think I recall him saying Tiger was “beatable” back in those days and Tiger made him eat those words.

I’ve seen some nice puts in the last few minutes.

Yeah I like my US open winner to be +\- 2 par.

To me the ideal US Open has the second place score at -1 alone, or a tie at even.

That said it's even more fun if one guy goes nuts the last day and shoots a 66 to land at -3, while everyone else is either even or plus. Because it makes the bitching even more futile.

Having so many guys near the top trumps a score near par. Anyone at even or better has a shot and if someone goes bananas with a perfect round 67 or better you can win it all. I don’t love this course but it does have a few eagle holes and the par threes are very tough. Looking forward to the coverage.

And from what I recall yesterday most of those playing through commercials were full :60 spots. They're flirting way too much with a true 1:1 content/commercials ratio.
