Let's do it! We have a couple more weeks of good golfing weather left.

Suggestions for courses? Spiral Stars mentioned the Glen Ellyn Links. I'd be up for that.

Arrowhead on Butterfield in Wheaton, the Preserve in Wood Dale, St. Andrews in West Chicago or White Pines in Bensenville would also work.

If you are going for that style Bolingbrook CC has a nice course and great clubhouse (if people are allowed to go in). I've played it a few times.

Mac, Jurko, and Harry had an outing I went to there one time also.

Highlands is a very cool links course. Greens were just aerated for those that care about that sort of thing. Bonus is 18 plus a cart can be had for $50 right now. St Andrews prices are pretty good but I also wasn't really impressed with the course.

I played the nine hole course at Glen Ellyn so I can't speak to the actual 18 hole course. I have to imagine its in just as good a shape as the 9 hole course but its pricer than the Highlands.

This might be too soon of notice for everyone, but it looks like we're down to this weekend, if people want to play. High 50s and sunny expected Sat. After that it's 40s.

Looks like the consensus is down to St. Andrews in West Chicago and the Elgin course. If people are price sensitive for a Saturday, there's always the cheap Lombard Park District course. You can play 9 holes at Arrowhead on Butterfield for about $25 after 1 p.m., even on the weekends. I played there on Saturday. There a few challenging holes but nothing too hard.

I would need to know concretely who would play at St. Andrews or Elgin this Sat. 10:00 a.m. would be a good start time. Then I could try to make a group reservation. We could even have prizes for 1st and 2nd lowest rounds, if people are willing to pitch in, say $10.00 each.

I don't want to get peoples' hopes up, but the weather forecasters are talking steady rain tomorrow throughout the day and more rain on Fri.

That should make for a pretty soggy course on Sat. May have to postpone now until Spring.
