Not ready to stick a fork in him yet but he needs to get healthy and make a run before he turns 50. I read elsewhere he also had 2 more surgeries this year but no mention of what they were for. Hopefully he can get the walking down and play a limited schedule in 2023. He wants to get that leg stronger but to do that you have to be on your feet so it is counter productive.

That would be a terrible headline, his issue his he can't walk so he is hoping to play the 4 Majors and a couple of others. He says he can get in a cart and go shoot 64 all day.

Sounds like he needs to call his old college teammate Casey Martin.

"My goal is to play the major championships and one or two more," Woods told a press conference before the Hero World Challenge at the Albany in the Bahamas. "Physically that’s all I can do. I don't have much left in this leg."

I'm fine with this. I think the chance of him putting everything together for 4 rounds on the toughest courses in the world are slim to none with no tournaments running up to it but he's earned the change to give it a run if he is qualified for them.

He added to that that maybe he can catch lighting in a bottle and compete for a win.

That is exactly what he would need to do. I'm rooting for him. He will always have a shot at Augusta as long as he can walk it. A British will also be possible because they are pretty flat generally. The US Open will never happen again.

Nice win for Hovland, that guy can definitely play. I saw that it was on this weekend but I don't think I watched more than 5 minutes of it.

PNC Championship this weekend. I doubt I will tune in for hours of coverage but I would like to watch some of it and would be fun to watch Charlie Woods and Tiger if they are up near the lead.

TV coverage below if anyone is interested. A lot of low level bowl games on, college hoops, etc.... I'll likely watch a bit on Saturday and then maybe Sunday after Bears if there is an interesting leader board. Announcement yesterday that Charlie Woods will still be playing the up tees at 6,450 yards, not one set back as previously reported.

Live coverage tees off on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. Sunday’s coverage on NBC and Peacock begins at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Charlie is playing the same tees as John Daley, Vijay Singh, and Nelly Korda.

That was what was originally reported but changed yesterday. He is back to the red tees.

Watched a bit yesterday. Awkward to watch both Woods drag a leg around the course. Hoping for a close and exciting finish but going to be hard to beat the Thomas group.
