1.5 lbs a week at this stage is really, really good. Congrats!

For the month of June, I dropped a whopping 2 lbs
Best run of the month was June 17th. 8 miles, pacing 9:29 / mile.

Sub 10 minute miles are a distant memory for me. Nice work!

Ran the Antioch 4th of July 5K yesterday....26:40, pace of 8:31 / mile. Best 5k I've done since 2015.

Dreaded the weigh in this morning after a week of holiday and my birthday. Lots of dinners and even some cake.

Ended up with a 0.4 lb gain this week which I was not at all unhappy about. Could've been worse.

Starting weight: 241
Current weight: 207.4

Goal weight: 195ish

not a good week. Wife baked a French Silk pie this week and I couldn't resist. Also forgot today was my weigh in till 10 pm last night so didn't eat great last night. Gained 0.4 lbs this week.

Nose to the grindstone from here on out.

Went on vacation the last couple weeks so I was limited to some runs and some pushups. While I generally don't like running, it was nice to do some trail running along Lake Michigan in northern Michigan. But it felt great to go on a hard bike ride and do some pullups today.

no change this past week, not a surprise. Will probably have another 1-2 weeks of little change before a nice drop. These last 10 pounds are going to be like a death march.

haven't updated in a few weeks. Diet went off the rails a bit after my dad died on 9/6. When Jews die it's like an Irish wake, but replace all the alcohol with food, mostly sweets.

Took a while but got it back on track for the most part this week.

Current weight: 203.4
starting weight: 241

goal weight: anything that starts with 1.

Going to Vegas for our 10 year wedding anniversary at the end of October. I'm thinking that is the end date of my diet although I'll probably stop it at least a few days before the trip so my digestive system can get used to eating real food again. Last thing I need is to turn the hotel's lazy river into the brown river.

Crack cocaine would get you the next 6 pounds in a few days.

I thought you did something foolish like diet and exercise.

   the betting odds favor me never engaging in any form of exercise ever again for the rest of my life.

Rejoined the Planet Fitness near me earlier in the week. Overall it meets all the needs I have. Opens at 7am on weekends which kind of sucks as I usually get up early but it is 24 hours almost every other day. Been in this position so many times and fallen short of my goals so really hope to give it my all this time. Need to lose weight, gain strength and flexibility. Figured I could get an almost 2 month head start on the resolution folks. Golfing tomorrow but will be in the gym Sunday to get it started. I have 6 months until next golf season, so there really is no excuse not to at minimum lose one pound a week for a total of 25 lbs, hopefully better than that.

no loss this week which is to be expected after last week's big loss. In fact, no loss this week feels like a win cause I kinda expected it to go the other way.

Still a couple weeks to get that under 200 before my trip to Vegas.

I had crept up to 215 after rotator cuff surgery in March but am now back down to 198. Being in Wisconsin this weekend will likely result in a regression but at least there is overall forward progress. 193 is ideal but I'll settle for 195. Prepandemic (I think 2018) I had gotten it to 185 but everyone said that was too skinny.

you can never be too skinny.

Good work on the loss. When you go to Wisconsin make a choice, beer or curds? That should at least limit some of the gain.

Dropped about 30lbs from June-now. Hooping with my Sauna Jacket, Couple pair of fleeced sweats and an occasional bike trail run on the lake did the trick. about 2-3 days per week of exercise made it happen. Didn't really have to change my eating habits either. Just had to exercise. Felt good because I also think that I relieved some stress as well.

i went the opposite route. All my weight loss has been attributable to 100% diet and 0% exercise. Probably why it's taken me 10 months to lose 40 pounds. That combined with me having one of the worst resting metabolisms known to man.
