Early Sunday evening golf might have got ratings. I watched, and I don't watch golf unless it's the Masters. There was nothing else on. I haven't seen Ricky Fowler in years, the skateboarder golfer, and now he's old and shaped like a coke bottle.

I am sure they want to have a major event in LA but based on comments from the players I wouldn't be surprised to see it moved to maybe another site in CA. Sounds like the members of the club got a lot of tickets allocated to them and hardly anyone was on the grounds for the tournament. Sounds like kind of an LA thing to do. I honestly didn't watch as much golf as anticipated because of the west coast timing and the low scoring sort of drew me away but the weekend seemed a bit more US Open like.

A hell of an up and down on 17, and he was lucky the right was wide open on 18 but a great par. He tried to do almost everything he could to lose it beforehand.

Good viewing the last two evenings but if they never hold another tournament at that place again I'd be cool with it.

I will say this is a bit squirrelly as you could argue that having to hit out of a divot isn't 'part of the normal challenge of the course', and I would agree.

After this year, I can't imagine anyone is going to break 66 at Pinehurst #2 next year. And if someone does, God help them all at Shinnecock on 2025.

Kind of depressing seeing that in my lifetime we'll probably never have another one in Illinois. I wish they would open it up a bit more, bring back Medinah and Olympia Fields. I bet they could make Whistling Straits tough enough as well.
