I think the iron cover thing is a tad facetious, but if you really want to know who isn't worthwhile check the practice area. The guy who shows up to the range and immediately pulls the driver and starts swinging as hard as he can is a tool. Anybody who is not hitting a wedge or short iron with the first quarter to half of their pre round bucket-- unless they have already spent time at the short game area-- is somebody I'm hoping not to be paired with.

Hey now.... I'm a driver first guy at the range. Still spend plenty of time on wedges/irons, but I've found driver the best way to loosen everything up.

I would take the cover off my 3 iron and start with that.
