McIlroy out of the gates strong along with Schauffele. They said the course had taken on 6 or 7 inches of rain from earlier in the week and that there could be some low scoring to start and then get tougher as it dries out.

This is his last year he said. Furyk has been out injured but will be coming back and he will finish up with him. C.T.Pan is going to miss him as he has been playing very well. Finished 3rd a few weeks back.

Probably won't tune it for much golf this weekend but if the leaderboard becomes interesting I could see watching a little bit. I noticed that Kisner appears to be out of his element now that he has been working on TV. I think he does a nice job with that but no one really wants to tee it up on a Thursday and card a smooth 80. Looks like a quadruple and a double bogey were a big part of it.

It is strange to see guys just lose their game. I understand as I look at mine but to go from pro player to cut border is rough other than age/injury.

Yeah, teeing it up on these courses with their conditions would be tough for anyone. The line between a 70 and 75 is razor thin believe it or not. You miss a couple of short putts and have one bad hole and suddenly you are staring at 75 rather than being under par and playing the weekend. Pretty sure Kisner just isn't putting in the same amount of time working on his game as he was doing before the tv gig.
