They have 'skyboxes' which they sold out . Just the top row, has chairs and a bar you can hang out at, with a shaded area.

As I have said, its a great week in Phoenix! Hotel rates are soaring!!!!! I stayed at a Howard johnson for one night a fe weeks ago, it was $125 a night and I looked and see its $199 now for the cheap room. lol

Dos Gringos is hosting Ditka and Jaws Cigar party, sold out and tickets going for $500 to hang with Jaws and Da Coach.

Until they recently moved, wife's aunt & uncle had similar view of the 8th green at the Dekalb public golf course. We'd sit on their deck and wager on our guesses of each golfer's putt count. While we were never as raucous as they are in Phoenix I think more than one golfer figured out what we were doing

Other than attending the Masters, this would probably be the most fun way for me to see a PGA event. Its also really cool that most of the players have fun with it as well.

BRogue.... they sort of invented this idea of a stadium type hole. Just unique to this tournament where
they put in the sky boxes and the crowd gets pretty wild. They boo the player if he misses the green,
that type of thing. They say the numbers can reach near 20,000 spectators on this one hole. Not too
sure about that but it is quite a few people and they pull incredible attendance numbers at this particular
event.

Yeah the crowds are different here. Never truly 'hear a pin drop' type quiet, and its pretty much anything goes outside of throwing things on the course at the 16th hole. One guy yesterday was dressed up as Tiger Woods' tooth

I've been to exactly one PGA event...and this was it. I was out there for the SB where Giants beat NE. We stayed right next to this course....walking distance. Got hammered and fell in love about 200 times. Tried to get some chics back to our place but failed. Oh...and I saw some professional golf too. Crazy event. I'd go again.
