Prophylactically this is the only way to re-direct any attention while keeping interest. A year ago, Julie entered my (our collective?) consciousness. Popping up on my (our) radar with a story that never sounded fully correct or complete. The Great Kane story, replete with ongoing teeth gnashing over the ability to remain a "Hawk" fan. Then there was the sexting story (interesting how that's returned to one show's intro lexicon) and at that point I (we) learned that she was not only not good at her job, but an Internet hack milking her one-trick act. No need to comment on her ample visage as she has provided enough fodder to critique her in a non-sexual totally intellectual way.

She will try again, and yes, I'm in the contingent waiting for the next fail. In the mean time she will just keep proving her critics right.

sure, we haven't had an armed conflict the losing of which would've been an existential threat to the US since the Civil War; it's still the case that soldiers who served and fought and were wounded and died in Vietnam and the Gulf Wars were ostensibly there representing/protecting the values embedded in the Constitution. Afghanistan at least was a response to a direct attack on American soil. Something that hadn't even happened before we entered WWII--Hawaii not being a state at the time.

I was 16 when I enlisted**, but I do recall standing up in a dingy classroom at MEPS and raising my right hand to take an oath that first and foremost was a promise to protect and defend the Constituion:
