i'm a cubs fan, so..i did like murph..especially the early days when the score would stop broadcasting at sundown or 7pm. miss a little, miss a lot. the cubs were the only thing he could talk about, no doubt non-cub fans would get turned off. the fake e-mailer opened him up for the scorn. no need for that - unless you write the cubs questions/dilemmas you have prepared an answer(s) for and look like a baseball genius doing so. naughty stuff.

already, i recently heard the grobber get ripped for 'asking' an intern to clean up his dog's mess in the studio. twice...the intern refused both times and intern either quit or got fired - i couldn't remember. the man brings his dog to the studio for a show? remember, the grobber pulled the press pass for cash scam that got him into trouble years ago.

The blend of regular callers and experts kept the show moving and there was always a ton of drops/sayings that only regular listeners could understand, felt like you were listening to friends talk about sports, as Terry would often say after a caller said "ray or thanks for your call", "He's one of ours".

Used to go to Platteville back in the day and remember Terry interacting with listeners during breaks, he seemed to understand the need to tolerate guys that may not always agree with him, not sure how Bernstein has influenced the station to the point where they openly tell people to stop listening if the disagree with them?
