Probably replace Shane Riordan with "everyone who isn't a woke asshole"

The Fels stuff I have read is awful. Worthless in fact.

In the real world, that's called "networking". Riordan works in the real world. Fels and his ilk work in "fantasyland" where they can cuddle with their weird 40th birthday stuffies and block everyone who doesn't agree with him.

Riordan's tweet was also a nice shot at Julie ( people who couldnt hack it in this business) as shes not so thinly veiled at MANY times when referencing people working at 670 who followed Barstool people . Pisses her off that Shane does.

Much worse. Rozner has a talent for writing. He just liked to play the know it all but with a self deprecating style. It annoyed the shit out of me. Fels’ thoughts are likely to make your head explode.

So what is up with Sam Fels seemingly hating the Blackhawks and the Score. They seem to be the ones who are responsible for giving him what little name recognition he has.

I’ll level with you. I didn’t really think that much of John Madden as an analyst, at least for most of my experience listening to him. That doesn’t mean I didn’t think his personality or presence didn’t warrant his standing at the top of the broadcasting game. They very much did. And perhaps I’m just of an age where my first exposure to Madden was at the point after he first took over the CBS No. 1 chair, before he moved to NBC, where he became aware of the phenomena and character that made him so beloved that he played into it more and more.

Quote:
After he moved to NBC, when he’d clearly cinched his legacy and perhaps didn’t feel like he had to live up to the character everyone knew anymore, we saw more of the analyst again. And he was really good at it.

Now watch this, Pat, up here, here's a guy who thinks I went straight to NBC from CBS and forgot about Fox and ABC. Now watch, he's gotta go back and get it right, but now he left a big credibility gap for those big ol' CFMB guys to get through. Boom! 90% of blogging is half-mental.

Originally, I enjoyed the ruthless criticism from Fels and the rest of the Committed Indian or whatever their new name is. But as time went on, I realized that they weren't that knowledgeable about the rest of the league and their prospect knowledge was awful. Yet they would talk with such an authoritative style which was completely unwarranted. While I agree with many of their social views, their negative, hyperbolic shtick became too much and I bailed on them. Plus, the female on their podcast (Rose?) was fucking unlistenable.

More like their social views didn't taint my overall perception of them like it does for many others.

Yep, they were also so negative, and they just seemed angry. That wore thin really quick.

The magazine was so much better when it was called the Blue Line and ran by Mark Weinberg.
