Anyone that thinks the winner wouldn't be relagated to the coveted 1 AM-5 AM Sunday morning spot (commonly referred to as a "Maya Gavin") is nuts.

Plus, I don't have any interest in being on the radio anymore...that was a long ago college major thing.

They should be looking for the next North, an untrained but charismatic person who they can build into a host through a year of weekend overnight shifts. I agree completely. This is a nice little thing if you want to try and get noticed, but the only people that will notice you are the drunks that don't understand why Grobber isn't on.

Bernsy didn't say specifically when the "SCORE Search Winner" would be on, but I remember Maya Gavin was on ONLY from 2-4a early Sunday morning when she won a couple years ago.

To me, that's not good enough for starters. Besides, if I'm SCORE management, I'd do my best to get the "SCORE Search Winner" on The SCORE as often as possible, especially if it means giving new listeners a chance to sample the program. I think that was a big problem with Maya winning the contest a couple years ago. Not enough listeners tuned in, especially during hours when guys might actually tune in.
