I actually saw a job posting for "Obnoxious intern." Job description was something about sending the same tweet to a thousand people.

Chus stalked Farrell off the radio in Chicago

That fucking guy. He spent the better part of his four hour national show one night slamming me by name (Stern Fan Network message board name), because I dared to question his gambling claims. The best Ferrall story was him getting into some fisticuffs on the street with an Asian man. Ferrall allegedly called the guy the n-word, and the dude kicked his ass right on the sidewalk. What a loser.

He is still on CBS radio.

It really wasn't that interesting. A bunch of Stern's lackeys chased me around that board for a few days, until they finally banned me.

Also, some radios still don't go past 1610. Also-also, "reaching most of Chicagoland" from a stick in the south suburbs sounds like really bad coverage. How do you sell a station that doesn't come in north of, for the sake of argument, Irving Park Road?

I hate to say this, but how many people would tune into the actual radio versus online?

My old Chicago Defender thread may come true yet...

A station of old Score guys isn't going to bring in big streaming numbers.

I say a properly funded properly placed (on the dial) third sports talker with familiar old Score/ESPN talent would succeed. That's not going to happen so you'll be correct here.

Yeah, it would have to be a semi-familiar dial position, say, 1160, but I think Salem is happy with it.

Anyone catch what North said at the end of his segment with Terry? He was talking about the growth of sports talk radio and said something like, "some cities even have three stations".

Some cities do have 3 stations. The industry grew from nothing to what it is today. This isn't some subtle hint that North or any other of his has-been friends are coming back.

Mike is done. He will never host a show on a major station in this city again. Put the pipe down, man.

DB,
Thanks for explaining yourself. I'm not aware of what other cities have but listening to our two stations trying to fill the talent void,I find that hard to believe.

Hey,we all have our opinions. Yes,I wish North was back on free market airwaves. I prefer him over anybody right now working on SCR.

I can see a new sports station trying to get North.

The publicity alone would get some ratings and people listening.

I don't think we can say he is done all together.

He is done at the SCORE without a doubt

Yes,I agree. That window closed when he walked out on a pay cut (still making huge money). I bet he hasn't made that much in all the years since he left the SCORE as he would have made in that one year.
