Yeah. Break up a show that is number 1 in their timeslot!

Maybe W&S can extend their show an hour so we can make this fair.

LOL! You are something else. You have a future at Fox News in interpreting stats.

So once 2 o'clock hits the ratings favor W&S until 6.

Their job is to win 1-6. If W&S was only on from 5 to 6 and they won that hour would we act like they were losing?

You may one day get your ultimate victory over B&G but today is not that day.

If I were S&W I'd be concerned that a show that has been around much longer is barely winning from 2-6 against a show that everyone here supposedly hates and doesn't listen to.

Right, which I haven't said. What you DID say, though, is:

Boilermaker Rick wrote:

And since you tacitly admit they aren't winning 1-6 when you say:

I must then ask you...how are B&G fairing at their job over the last 3 months? (these are quarterly ratings)

It's simple: B&G's job, as per you, is to win 1-6p. Considering they are not winning 1-6p over the last 3 months, how are B&G doing at their jobs?

They are #1 in their timeslot. They happen to be tied for #1. As I said, this is too pedantic even for me and I'm normally fine with that.

The level of obsession you have on this topic is hilarious.

I don't think BRick ever thought B&G would actually ever not win their timeslot over WMVP (because B&G get an hour at the front-end competing with a vastly inferior midday show on MVP, both inferior to B&G, and B&G's lead-in, S&P). And now that they decidedly haven't, and haven't for 3 months, BRick knows is shtick is immediately stale and silly. He'll try to shift the goalposts to "#1 in their timeslot", but he knows it's a futile effort.

Last quarter B&G lead their timeslot by a few tenths of a point above a 5 share, and this quarter they are now tied with their competition at a little under a 5 share. B&G are driving people away, particularly to WMVP, and BRick knows it. Now whether he believes all this crap or is just deciding to troll people about Chicago sports radio ratings (while calling other people lame and obsessed), is another discussion entirely.

No. I don't really care if they win it or not. B&B lost consistently for years to their competition. It's not a big deal as long as they do well enough to keep their bosses happy.

You should just wait until it actually happens before you celebrate. You should also question why you would celebrate a sports radio ratings battle but that is a different discussion all together.

Just like polling data, JLN once again has trouble understanding math. Sad.

Perhaps a community college course could help him out.

Are you going to explain how polling works? You were asked several times in that thread but never replied.

Like that time he told me people on food stamps don't use SNAP, if you catch DB being an idiot your post will go unanswered

Did. Not. Happen.

The only time I remember posting about food stamps/SNAP was in response to someone saying the majority of people purchasing soda in Cook County are using food stamps to do it.

If I may defend douchebag, if JLN doesn't think that about a 1,000 people properly selected can come up with a valid polling result then he doesn't understand how polling works either.

Get the fuck outta here.

Individuals aged 18–24, men, and those with less than a college education were also more likely to be frequent soda consumers. In addition, those living in households with an income of 200% of the poverty level or less were more likely to be frequent soda consumers than those from higher income households.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2329746/

There are just under 900k in cook county on SNAP.

So in short yes the poor consume more soda and also use food stamps to pay for it, you douchebag.

There are over 5 million people in Cook County. If there are 900k people on SNAP and every single one of them regularly purchased soda, that still doesn't represent a majority, or a figure even close to a majority. The poor might more frequently buy soda, but they are not the majority of the sales, and you have posted nothing to prove that.

What part of people 200% below poverty line buy more soda than people wealthier than them doesn't make sense?

The data your asking for Cook County would require people to report their income level when they buy soda. It's a number we can't deduce.

What we can prove is the poor buy more soda and are on SNAP

They are not buying more soda, they are just buying it more frequently. And you cherry picked an extremely small segment of the entire cook county population to make your claim.

Does anyone on this site understand statistics? First it's ratings, then polling, and now sales data?

I wasn't questioning the sample size. I questioned what "acceptable" means as that was too vague.

On face value, this does not seem to be a true statement. Across a very long timeline, and multiple threads on the same topic, you defend and elevate B&G every chance you get.

Either you are trolling the anti-B&G posters on this forum, or you want B&G to be successful for some unknown reason.

But, given the number of posts you have defending them, their ratings, their content, etc., it's pretty clear you DO care.

I've defended them against premature victory celebrations and simply remarked about how everyone hated this show for years and now they still do and yet they keep talking about it and how they would hate the next host just as much because that just seems to be what they want to do.

All the while, the W&S show gets mentioned outside of B&G pretty much never.

Let's wait till Cubs games are out of afternoons for a ratings book before we talk about winners and losers.
