Beginning next month with the start of the Cubs' regular season, DeJesus will work alongside longtime Cubs pre-game/post-game host David Kaplan for CSN's slate of 81 scheduled Cubs game broadcasts for the 2017 season. In addition to his Cubs studio analyst duties, DeJesus will also make regular appearances on CSN's weeknight sports discussion program "SportsTalk Live," CSN's news and information program "In the Loop," and on CSNChicago.com's "Cubs Talk" podcasts. DeJesus replaces Todd Hollandsworth, who held the job from the 2009 season through this past season. Hollandworth exited CSN Chicago in December when he was given the opportunity to become the Miami Marlins' new color analyst for all of the team's local television broadcasts. Said DeJesus today: "I'm thankful to CSN for giving me this opportunity to once again be a part of the best organization in baseball. I loved my time with the Cubs and I am excited to be able to bring my insight to the viewers and enjoy the ride to another championship." Kevin Cross, CSN Chicago Senior Director of News & Original Content, stated: "During his time spent in Chicago, David quickly became a fan favorite for his dedication and hard-working approach not only on the field, but also in the community. David's contagious enthusiasm and deep knowledge of the game will definitely be major assets to our Cubs studio shows beginning this season and we can't wait to get David and 'Kap' together to bring Cubs fans the expert coverage and analysis they have come to expect from our network." DeJesus played Major League Baseball as an outfielder for 13 seasons (although he also played center field for the Cubs). He was with the Chicago Cubs in 2012 and 2013, becoming a fan favorite. The Brooklyn native moved back to Chicago to live a few years ago. DeJesus is married to model, actress, reality show contestant, and Chicago native Kim DeJesus. Together they have one son. The couple also operates the non-profit David DeJesus Family Foundation, which helps Chicago area families in need, as well as ALS research. |

Former Chicago Cubs STANDOUT? Hmmmm....not sure about that. I'll give him a chance...he seemed "cool" enough when he was here as a player. I don't watch a ton of pre & post shit anyway. |

He was terrible even though Kap was force feeding him softball questions. Dave Kaplan specifically asked for this guy and I think it was for the sole purpose of trying to do his wife. |

Saw some of the post game last night, David is really bad. Not sure how he got the job. I tweeted dickhead Kap last night and told him David was brutal and that his wife should at least be sitting there, to make it worth watching. |
