Meet the two "wonderful" specialists who combined to leave me with the back of an 80 year old man. Drs. Fetzer and Colman failed me in more way that i can possibly describe....word to the wise: always get second opinions

I don't get it. A year or two ago, he had a problem with his foot and then as well, the original doctor supposedly fucked him up.

How can you get shitty luck with not just one type of specialist, but two? It's like he doesn't know anybody who can give him a decent fucking referral.

Maybe if he hadn't paid them in signed copies of his books he could find a different doctor.

Chet's next book should to be titled; "Burning Bridges".

Write what you know.

Who ever thought we'd be able to say that Chet Coppock is acting presidential?

If only he had a few $50 gift tickets to Lawry's lying around . . .

Back surgery is such a crapshoot that I would always consider it a last resort. I know too many people who regretted it after the fact. I'm not sure it's even a question of the skill level of the Dr.

Isn't the rest of Chet's body that of an 80 year old man?

I auditioned for a thing Chet was trying to launch back in 2010, he walked like an 80 year old back then, too.

I was seriously considering getting Chet on the podcast. I love Chet.

But knowing now that he hates doctors discourages me.

I was surprised he was still in his 60's. I figured he was at least in mid 70's.

He's going to be hawking the Otis Wilson book. Should be easy enough to get him on. Keeping him on for a full hour could be a challenge.

I really wanted to do it. I grew up with COS. I suffered through Sox games on WMAQ to hear it.

My first Bulls game in 1989, Chet walked past us in a full-length fur coat.

I had by chance brought in a bucket of animal blood with me, just in case, but he just looked too good ...

Used to listen to him all the time before the Score arrived. Hardly ever missed a show of his or Murph's when he was on WLS

COS on MVP got me through my dissertation research. I was a 5-night a week listener back in 88-90. Listen to the first two hours in the office, go out and get dinner during the 9pm hour, then get work done during Larry King until the S&G rebroadcast started.

To me, Chet is a cautionary tale, which is why he's so interesting to follow.

Didn't he used to have Dick Versace and/or Dick Harter on a lot?

Who was the other Asst. Pistons coach?

Brendan Malone?

He was on every day.

He would have both Malone and Brendon Suhr, sometimes in the same week. He loved Chuck Daly.

He would also have a young Michael Wilbon on, who was still an NFL beat reporter at the time.

Yes. Brendon Suhr was the more obscure one that was on all the time.

The two Brendo/ans.

If nothing else, he was a pioneer in the Chicago sports radio market

Chet, you are 80. So you have the proper back. Don't blame the Doctors.

I used to listen just about every night too. His show was good. He had his go to guys like Malone and Suhr. Pompeii was one of his guys and so was Boers. He also would use Boers a lot. Sugar for the Boxing. I remember Rick Majerus being one of his guys too. I used to love how he'd go in on local sportscasters too. Sudberry and Sid Garcia were frequent targets.

He's also have Dave McGinnis on a lot.
