Julie was a fuckin' pioneer. She handled her shifts in the middle of that boy's club with aplomb. Her raison d'etre wasn't kicking against an imaginary glass ceiling. She just talked sports. She was better than most who are at the station currently. |

She used to do news reads for the regional radio places out here. It was always suprising when I would hear her voice come on doing reads for pork bellies or some news. It was while she was still working for the score. I liked her show for the most part back in the day if for no other reason to laugh at the callers. |

I remember when Spiegel was being teamed up with various partners for a week or so including Peggy Kusinski - basically "radio partner try outs". (This was before Mitch hired this new guy). In a different era, she'd have gone and worked for MLB Network or one of the blogging consortia. I liked Peggy K. on CSN and Channel 5, but I didn't like her tryout. I just don't think she had the right chemistry for it. |

I've heard Score guys hint at it. Did Julie really bang Terry Bevington? I wouldn't think less of her that she was a reporter that banged a sports guy that she covers. I would think less of her that SHE BANGED TERRY BEVINGTON. That's the issue. What self respecting women would bang him. I think that he was like 20 years older than her.
