Nah, for now this is fine. 10 minutes on his own, 15 minutes with a guest, 5 minutes to wrap it up, 2-3 live read commercials. Just enough to consume on a drive home from work. I am not a podcast person. I think "oh I'll do that" and then after two weeks I don't keep up. But if Mac can keep getting B-list long timer guests like a Roman Modrowski, I'd rather hear one interview 3x/week when the NFL/NHL are both going, and 2x/week the rest of the time. Maybe only 1x/week while he's fishing in the middle of the summer, something pre-canned so he can take a month off. That would be about 120 podcasts a year, so if he had a rotation of 10 guests who come on every other month and 15 who come on every third month, that would cover 105 shows. Throw in some book authors or some Bears' opponents beat writers, and he's there. And Mac has to know 25 guys who are good interviews and have reasons to go on various shows to promote their own gigs. |

listened and it was hard to hear dan patrick. i had to turn it off since it seemed like they were having some technical issues. overall it felt like a regular show but i think the show needs to be in the middle of the first show and this show. this was a bit too vanilla for dan. felt like i was listening to an ESPN national show. |

Listening to the recent podcast and it is pretty good stuff. If you like McNeil (I do), it makes you realize how much he is missed and how terrible some of the shows currently on the Score truly are. Boers sounds great. These two have always had great chemistry and it shows in this podcast. |
