Never understood the reason why you need every show on your station spending 90% of their show the day after the Bears game, talking about it. They all say the same shit, and they really don't have a guest on that you say, I have to hear what they have to say. You have postseason baseball going on, and we are getting very little baseball talk. I just don't think you need this much football coverage with a bad team. Even the daily hits with Zach or JD is ridiculous. I'm assuming Cleveland doesn't spend all day talking Browns football.

While I prefer hockey and baseball as sports, I enjoy football chatter much more on sports talk radio. There is a lot to break down both before and after a game.

Some can be fine, but it is surprising how much football they talk considering they are the flagship station for a team that is in the playoffs for another sport.

Some of the guests are ok like Matt Miller. But Dan Pompei has no original thoughts. Hub Arkush sucks. And Zach Z is the biggest homer douche ever. I swear, every year no one expects great things more than Zach. Then when the Bears inevitably suck, he finds excuse after excuse as to why they sucked.

They do not. They spend large portions of everyday circle jerking over Ohio State football.

I don't get this....they've sucked for so long....I liked Mac a lot, but I got sick of him when he used to push the Bears in July....

Yep. I know it’s a Bears town but I’m really not thinking football at all in mid June. Even the early September games can be hard for me to get into sometimes. Need that bite of fall in the air.

That was in the '90s Tommy... when both baseball teams were done by the all star break! Now... I get excited about the NFL, but not the Bears per se.

I'm fairly certain CH could wax your ass in a battle of wits.

Forever pedestrian.

The weirdest thing is that Illinois is relatively barren as far as college and high school football go. We're not Texas, we're not Florida, we're not even Ohio. It's not like football is part of the fabric of our being. The Bears are just a show people really like to watch on TV.

Too much football talk, but do any of the hosts on the score offer any compelling baseball thoughts?

Chicago > Boston and St. Louis but at least those cities have their priorities straight and care about baseball more than football. I think even Cincinnati is more invested in the Reds than the Bengals.

Why do they talk so much NBA?
Why do they talk so much NFL?
Why do they make fun of hockey and not really talk about the NHL?
They are only doing well because of the Cubs!

Makes sense.

Ohhhh, you've never heard John "Moon" Mullins break down the Bears, his insight regarding the Bears is outstanding, make him appointment radio and you'll change I'm sure...
