True, but not on Friday or Saturday nights when we need him most.

What ever happened to Tom Greene.? Not the guy that was on MTV that married Drew Berrymoore, but the host of this show. Steve Olkin still hosts a weekend show and Chris Cross was hosting somewhere down south. Greene vanished after the huddle

What an odd request. It's like saying "bring back Mike Murphy's Fan Talk on 890."

That was an embarrassingly bad sports show but I listened because it was all I had. It is the radio listening equivalent to being found huffing

Ran an April Fools joke on the Murph show in 1995. Came up with a story that the Bears has signed a FA QB named Henry Faux, and came up with a back story including a former NFL scout and his former college coach singing his praises.

Get in my car to go home and turn on the Huddle.

They are praising the Bears for finding a potential savior at the QB position. I'm laughing my ass off.

Jimmy from Hoffman Estates calls in to agree.

Was that you jimmy??

Big Al's show was only slightly better.

Where's the "Fabulous Sports Babe"? Anyone know what's she been up to recently?

She looked like the "wacky neighbor" in a bad sitcom.

Oh, lord, I forgot about her. When I was living on the east coast, she'd come on after Don Imus at 9am. What a piece of crap, I think JDC may actually have better sports thoughts.

She looks like your mom's cousin who's "a serious dog person" and tells you you must be a big hit with the ladies even though you're still only in 3rd grade.

There was also a syndicated show by “Papa Joe Chavalie.” I think it was the same station as the Fabulous Sports Babe.

I listened to far to much Papa Joe when I lived in Bozeman. And by far too much I mean over 30 minutes.

I remember the first incarnation of WMVP as a sports station ran the Flabulous Sports Bore.

In middays. Against fucking Jiggetts and North in their prime. Can't imagine how that station wound up tanking.
