That's the awesome part. He burns bridges yet always finds a way to jump over the burnt bridge. I love it. Nobody else can do it. That's his Jedi Power.

Look, this latest return will end badly. He'll take a swing at Bernstein or Goff to get fired again. Or he'll make a sexist comment witch will send Julie running to HR to get him fired.

But ya know what? When Mac is 80 years old, you'll turn on the SCORE, at midnight, to hear Da Ma Na say, "Hello Chicago, I'm back!!!"

I don't think he really ever burns bridges or if it matters. People like him and he can't help himself. Even if you don't like him there is an honesty with his audience and he seems to be motivated at times. I'd love to see him thowmp any and everybody at the score.

Unpaid bookies, hillbilly heroin and angry exes couldn't kill him. Time off from radio was a comparative blip.

Come on Beardown. Work with your material. My guy Pittmike would have knocked this one out of the park.

Ozzy, Danny, Ozzy, Danny...

I can't imagine what Berns and Goff can achieve
Leave me alone, don't want your promises no more

Won't ever change, may think it's strange

Yeah seriously Dan give me a call and we'll get rid of the hillbilly! =P

Seriously, it's called the defense cuz it'll make you perfectly content doing nothing and keep you numb sexually so you don't chase lame women / get turned out by the music industry. It's got a hell of a taboo, but hey, when people say "we can't fuck with him: he's on heroin" it's a double entendre #makedrugsworkforyou

Never. I stereotyped a person with an addiction from Indiana. I'm sorry to the people of Indiana. I also think he paid off his bookie. I was using hyperbole for comedic purposes.

lol it'd be funny if it had less of a chance to actually be true!

He did admit to a Norco addiction when he came back from one of his hiatuses.

Yes, that was Dan McNeil on WSCR AM 670 Sunday morning, co-hosting with Danny Parkins. It marked a return to the Entercom sports/talk station where Danny Mac once drew high ratings as Monday-through-Friday midday personality. He’ll be back next Sunday (with Tim Doyle) and continue at least through Super Bowl weekend. McNeil last worked for The Score in 2014 when he chose not to renew his contract. After a brief run as morning co-host on Hubbard Radio classic rock WDRV FM 97.1, he most recently has been hosting a sports podcast and voicing commercials for a Ford dealership in Highland, Indiana, where he also works as a salesman.

Looks like Parkins got pressured to dip out, huh?

Anyone in the hallway?

I couldn't take Norco. Just made me want to puke.

I wanted to get hooked. Didn't take.

I was very aggressive about getting off the Norco because I wanted to drive. I only had 60 of them for about 18 days so I pretty quickly went from 6 per day to just 1-2 at bedtime.

But I had something which had a defined healing path. For something chronic, I could see it being difficult.
