Who gets bounced to a backup station when the Cubs and Bulls play on the same nights?
What would be the backup station WBBM-FM?

After having missed out on the recent success of the Cubs after broadcasting their games for ages it would be nice to see WGN get the White Sox as they are (hopefully) poised to enjoy similar success.

I think it would be great if they put the Bulls on US99.

Wonder why they wouldn't have their "basketball guys" announce it instead of M+H.

They wanted people to hear the news.

It wasn't the Thunder that they are broadcasting.

Most of all, I want to thank Jerry Reinsdorf for having the courage to stand by the meaning of a contract and his own damn convictions in the face of certain other radio stations in this market.

What do they make in their current deal and what will they make in their new deals?

I'll bet with fewer working hours his next contract may be missing a digit.

It doesn't seem to be very cost effective for the station to pay him whatever he is being paid when he's going to be on the air even more infrequently than he is now. In addition to being preempted for Bears All Access, the Cubs, Illinois basketball, and now the Bulls it would make more sense to put Shepkowski, Ostrowski, or whoever else they have sitting around there in that that spot.

I still think Larry gets bumped up to a better slot in whatever shakeup happens after the Super Bowl.

AM1000 disappears by 4-5 PM out here. It's barely audible. 670 and 720, along with 780 carry extremely well.

Farmio and DJ's act being boomed out to 75% of the continent. Won't someone think of the children of Nebraska?

Will Goff start kissing up to Gar now?

He was all ready to give Paxson and Collins all the credit for the Mirotic trade in transition. I'm sure it's entirely Gar's fault however that it hasn't gone through yet.

Why do you think the Sox on 'GN would be such a bad fit? I heard it's all but signed the sticking point is 'GN wants Farmer gone and Chairman Reinsdorf is balking at that so far.

He's a Cubs fan worried that the Sox are about to take over Illinois while the Cubs are stuck with Iowa and South Bend.

I guess it's hard to imagine the grim, gritty Sox on dopey whitebread 720.

Bruce reporting Sox close to finalizing multi-year deal with WGN. Bizarro radio world we live in.

I like that fit, WGN has the strongest signal and is a great match.
