I liked Wills, but the Cubs issue he had did get in the way.

Completely agree with this.

Rongey was awful. Does not matter how many stupid calls had had to take...that's was his job. Douche.

He could of made it fun with those people, instead of being a dick.

With Chicago White Sox broadcasts moving to WGN AM 720, the Tribune Broadcasting news/talk station has designated Andy Masur to host its pregame shows, and Mark Carman and Adam Hoge to split hosting postgame shows. Just hired as executive producer for White Sox baseball is Dave Zaslowsky, who held the same position at Cumulus Media news/talk WLS AM 890, the team’s former radio home. Friday marks the opening of the 2018 Cactus League season, with announcers Ed Farmer and Darrin Jackson returning to the booth for their 10th season together.

Wow. 3 people to handle it. Masur for all the pre games and Hoge and Carman to split the post game. That's weird. Carman is a HUGE Cubs fan. Hoge is a Sox fan but he's an ass hole.

So Masur just has to do a half hour pre game and go home? That's a sweet gig.

Depends on who gives score updates during the game.

DJ and Farmer can handle that. How tough is that? Just look at the Score board at the stadium or your phone. There's a lot of down time in a baseball game for the announcers to do that.

Maybe they can hire yet another guy who is not a Sox fan.

Yeah, and the ability to lecture Sox fans in a haughty know-it-all manner seems to have been a job requirement. But maybe it will be different at WGN.

Sorry that you guys got stuck with Cubs fans in Mark Carman and Andy Masur. Cubs on 670 and Sox on 720 isn't a good fit for anyone.

As long as it is not John Williams or Wendy Snyder, we're ok.

Sometimes I think the only reason Wendy Snyder has a job at WGN is because Robin Baumgarten has a clause in her contract that says she can't be the dumbest person at the station.

I haven't listened to Wendy since she has been on WGN but she always seemed like a fun radio host and news person. WGN changes a person.

Wendy has been a real Sox fan since grade school.

By the way, what the hell does Connor McDoink do at WLS? I never listen. Do they have regular sports updates like WBBM?

Sadly, he does sports updates during the Steve Dahl show, a show no one listens to.

Me thinks he'll be back on The Score before opening day.

Mark Carman said he'd burn all of his Cubs stuff if WGN got the White Sox.

The promos I've heard for the White Sox on WGN have unfortunately included "Don't Stop Believin'" playing in the background.
