I think she works as an executive chef in charge of desserts for some hotel.

I liked Julie. I think her Sunday morning baseball work was as good as any of the shows subsequent to hers. She seemed to have gone through an existential crises towards the end of her sports career but even then always seemed like a good person.

Didn't Les drag Julie S into his Cubs press pass scheme?

it was the other way around. I believe Les used Julie's unused press pass to get his girlfriend into a game but Julie was a weasel for snitching.

Strange things that you remember.

Julie was one of the first to suggest that Jose Lima "grooved" two home run pitiches to Sammy Sosa. The media went after her for that. But she held her ground.

She didn't snitch on Les.

Les used her identity in order to get a lady friend into the press box for an MLB All Star Game.

His friend then left her jacket behind. Keep in mind, these seats are assigned.

MLB contacted the Swieca and told her she had forgotten her jacket at an All Star game that she never attended.

Swieca went to the station about it.

They tracked down Les for it eventually.

So Les co-opted the identity of someone, and put the station's future press credentials at risk while doing it.

His subsequent attempts to blame Swieca speak for themself.

Bernstein years back unloaded on all the eBay, expenses, etc , cons Les pulls. It was very interesting.

Les sells stuff like old press guides and anything he gets for covering teams. Or at least he used to.

Shitty in and of itself because back in the day those guides contained some private info of some very famous people.

She was on with Spiegel & Herron. Herron appeared lost on who she was. Needed to read some articles.The 30th anniversary guest segments are way too short. Told a few stories, but too rushed. Not enough time.

They had Ofman a week or two ago and Dan Zampillo several weeks ago. North was the first one, and they've had Shaer, Sirott, and Gleason. I'm sure I'm missing a few.

Would love to hear Murph, Memolo, Spaceball, Greenberg, and some others from the early days. I think it would also be interesting to hear some stories from voice guy Russ Mitera, who has been there forever.

Is the Score doing anything special for its 30th (the actual day already passed, I think). Remember when they had the big celebration where they invited fans, roped them off into a small area then had a big VIP area for sponsors on a different level from which they could pee on the peons?
