I was invited to one my senior year. My date and her friends did all the planning so it was a nice change to have no pressure. Put on a suit and wait for the doorbell to ring. Part of their planning included a bus from the pre party to the school. They put the beer from the pre party onto the bus. The school searched the bus when we pulled up. I took a couple of days of detention and was banned from dances the rest of the year. Good planning, ladies.

They let me know they were letting me go to my prom a week before the event. So I blessed some babe who didn't think she'd have a date with my invitation. She was nice, but it sucked. We both knew in advance this wasn't going to be a date where she would get three minutes in the octagon, so neither of us really devoted out total attention to the other. I drank afterwards at a hotel. My friend I was doubling with drove us home. I apologized for it not being the night of her dreams. Then I passed out so I could wake up for a double header at Hales the next morning.

We are still friends.
