Mitch is a guardian angel to some (Sir) and an angel of death to others (Murph and Hood).

It sucks because his bias are getting in the way of a better station.

Hate Murph all you want, he had ratings in every time slot and every station he went.

Hood should have been a Score lifer. One of their worst moves.

Murph getting kicked down from morning drive to evenings was a weird move. Even if he absolutely had to make room for the terrible North show, you'd think they would have been able to find another spot in the lineup for him. He's always had an audience.

Hood did some shows with Mac when Mac was on MVP. They were a good pairing. I remember them talking about UIC hockey.

Been that way more or less for awhile now.

Hanley still is a rough listen but a well meaning guy and way better than that dumb good Mulli.

It’s just difficult for me the amount of times he says “yo” as a rushed form of “ya know”

Murph and Hood was a disaster. Murph is go go go. Hood is slow motion. When Hoods's a small whale he can't breathe and the words were slow coming out, and Murph got frustrated.
Today they're even more mismatched. Murph a staunch conservative. Hood would be pulling out the sjw race card crying, and finger pointing.

I liked Murphy. When I called him up once he loved my encyclopedia white style stats and stuff and was super encouraging for me to not be a stranger. I wish I called more.

Hey Murph I hope I run into you someday. The beer/ginger ale is on me!

Anyone recall the caller Stephanie that use to call Murphs shows?

He was mostly rude to her and she kept calling back. She had a nasally soft voice.

Did she pass away? I remember reading that here but wasn’t sure. Anyone know?

Remember the South Side Cynic back when Murph was on WLS. RIP old timer.

Murph didn't like her.

He finally put a "No Park Ridge Steph" on my show mandate to all of his producers.

She was always asking Murph why Rick Wilkins didn't get more playing time.

Did you work for Eddie Schwartz too on WGN Seacrest? Remember that guy who always use to call the producers who picked up the lines and say ‘Eddie Woo-woo’ and hang up.

I think it was Mitch Rosen back then w Eddie and crew.

She wasn't too well-liked here, either, but then "blowing up babies" was a pretty good running bit.

I was surprised she was only 49. She could have been 89 with her mentality. The Cubs get a lot of female fans like her, the kind who think Ryne Sandberg was their boyfriend. They go to the games alone and keep a scorecard. They seem to get a lot of nuns as well

She was mental. If you pushed back, even slightly on her opinions, she would accuse you of the most heinous acts. She sounded like Pat from SNL and I imagine the visual didn't vary far from the character either.

Not really. She just looked more like a mom from Sauganash Park. Not patrician and well put together the way they are on your side of the tracks. Which is kind of strange because I think she may have come from a wealthy family.

But as I'm sure you know, wealthy in Park Ridge is a little different than the politically connected lace curtain Irish wealth of Sauganash. Instead of professionals, it's people who own small businesses like cement contractors or insulation installers. Think the Hillary Rodham family.

Anyway, I met her at a White Sox Pride & Passion meet-up at some pizza place out west on Irving Park. She was aggravating Aggravated Bob. Bob is a cranky motherfucker but he isn't mean. He obviously didn't want to tell her to shut the fuck up but he was also having difficulty hiding his disgust for her nonsense. So he moved where he was sitting to the other side of the table and left my buddy and me to listen to her blathering on.
