I don't know who he thinks he is fooling with that rug.

did anyone watch the skilling send off? was it ever reported is he being shown the door or was it his decision? will the new guy get 15 minutes to do the weather or will they reclaim that time for more commercials?

(1) It was on in the background for a bit, but even my wife tired of the over-the-top lovefest and shut off the TV.
(2) Definitely his decision
(3) The new guy is Demetrius Ivory
(4) more commercials

Why wouldn't they give Morgan the main job vs. hiring someone outside? Isn't she at the top of her game right now?

Ivory has been there longer than Kolkmeyer. There was little doubt in my mind he was the next person up.

Plus, Morgan strikes me as someone who loves her shift. Getting up at 2:00am must suck, but on most days she's probably home by 8:00am and gets to spend the day with her young children.

Like Sarah Jindra, once her kids are in full day school, I would expect her to move to a gig in the middle of the day.

Starting on April 1st, the morning "news" begins at 3:30am! It will be written by Toomey and Hoover.

I think at that time of night, they should just drive around and get lootings and car jackings live, but it will
probably be just a "laugh and bit" fest.

Pretty soon, all WGN will be is local news shows, LIV Golf on weekends and Friends reruns...

mmm

I would be hesitant to get excited, one way or the other, of something starting on 4/1...XRT has made a career out of it

And it's not on the schedule for 4/2.

Yes, joke was on me that this was an April fools prank. I DVR'd the show,
and watched it last night, had potential to be funny, but too much Wink Winkle.
I don't get that character Hoover plays, it's not funny and a tired act. Toomey
is good, but Hoover plays too much to the obvious, corny jokes. My grade a D.

Wink Winkle is played out and pretty lame. But Toomey's Skip Parker still makes me chuckle every time.
