Kap and J Hood had former ESPN 1000 host Sean Salisbury on and Kap revealed to him that Rosenbloom is now working at Trader Joe's. The benefits are good.

You get the same pang as when you found out Tony Schiavone worked at Starbucks.

Salisbury and Rosenbloom was easily the worst show ever.

Disagree. Schiavone’s stint made for some good bits on BTE.

It was the de facto cream of the class, if you will.

Agreed. Telander, Buffone and Hood was a close 2nd though.

Listened to the first few minutes the day it was on. Then, got called away. Salsbery apologized and praised the whole time I listened. All of his signature cockiness is gone. Totally different man.

Just a reminder...any time one of these fuckfaces say "How dare you!!!...somebody lost a job!" They can fuck right off! THEY SLATHER themselves in JOY when people they dislike or coaches get fired.

Sports talk heads can GO fuck themselves! Starting with EVERY ONE at The Score.

Merry Christmas baby Jesus.

IIRC , Rosenbloom was right in line with Lil Danny in wanting those mopes at the Blackhawks game doxxed for yelling " basketball" at the black Capitals player in the penalty box a couple years ago.

Do we know at which one Stevie Sunshine is working?

I think we should all stop in, say hi, and ask him where they keep the hatch chili salsa.

is he a clerk or a store manager? you would think w/ all his years in sports media someone could have hooked him up for a gig in that field. but times are tough so you got to do what you got to do to survive.

Rosenbloom today. "We're going to have a 5-hour show Christmas and only book all the Jews at the Score. Rick Camp replied "is 5 hours long enough?"

It's probably the store closest to Kaplan's house and he's probably the cart boy.

Was listening the day Hood went off on Telander, some good confrontational radio.

Seems out of character for Kap to say that he works there.
While Rosenbloo was always negative/annoying schtick he did radio and worked for the Chicago Tribune!

I have no problem with a guy working anywhere. I think it was the guy from the Cosby Show who was "outed" for working at I think a Traders Joe.

Kap just should have said I ran into him IMO.

I knew print was bad and radio pays crap unless u are a Stern(who gets the opposite of crap), but the likes. Who knows. I like Kap, but seemed in poor taste to mention.

maybe some long time built up payback for Kap. Those newspaper guys back in the day were a pretty arrogant bunch.

Did you listen to the clip? Kap didn't sound like there was bad blood between them at all. He was just surprised to see him working there.

I think TJ's mostly hires crunchy granola people to work the registers. And then they force them to mention items you're buying and how much they themselves enjoy them. Always made me wish they sold astroglide and condoms so I could one time check out with only those 2 items.

passive aggressive maybe. like the other poster said, if he liked the guy he would not have mentioned it. he mentioned it to take a shot.

back when murph was on WLS and early days of the score, he was a appliance salesman at Montgomery Ward. Mainly laundry dept. - washers and dryers.

This is from Rosenbloom's final Tribune column.

"I took the Tribune’s voluntary separation offer because I have other things I want to write. I have a couple of projects that might be books or plays or screenplays, or garbage. There might be other offers I can’t imagine, or there might be nothing at all. Who knows, in a couple of years I could be asking if you want paper or plastic."

who knows - maybe he has a big mansion, 5 cars, kids in college, other expenses that he thought he would be able to manage before Covid hit. I'm sure he has a lot of connections but when those industry's are not hiring and cutting people (like sports media, sports teams), you got to do anything to survive.

Yeah he’s enjoyable in small doses. Fill-in or weekends seems about right.

Yes, I listened to the clip. It was 100% passive aggressive by Kap. Just say you saw him.

Forgot what movie, but some guy who used to make a lot of money was working as a pizza delivery guy or something and one of the character asked why he was doing it, his answer was something like "Still a millionaire, I deliver pizza's because I am for eccentric kicks" or something like that.
