Connor McDoink, Ben Finfer, and David Shuester.

Any of them get regular jobs or are they all just doing podcasts? I wouldn't think podcasts pay the bills so just wondering what they've been doing.

Just curious. Cuz I went to all of their twitter profiles and it says nothing. Sometimes people put their jobs in their profiles.

Connor has been out for a year. Has to be doing something to survive. Finfer has been out for 3 or 4 years I think.

Connor appears to be doing comms work for a start-up called SolveCast.

Quote:
From Covid to climate change, corporations have quickly learned that their actions have a significant impact on the world we live in. However, today's social media and news sources aren't set up to support this new paradigm.

SolveCast is a new approach to news and information. SolveCast keeps individuals and businesses informed by diagnosing problems, finding solutions and enhancing stakeholder empathy.

SolveCast helps companies practice stakeholder capitalism, a system in which corporations are oriented to serve the interests of all their stakeholders.

SolveCast helps you understand your world as it is today and how it may be tomorrow.

I don't know what any of that means.

I was gonna say the same thing. It sounds like bullshit. But I guess they pay Connor for it. So good for him. I don't get the idiots that pay this company for whatever this bullshit is.

You would think that the communication or A/V skills would be translatable to other fields. Sales? Everything I've heard from the radio industry going back to 1995 is that its shit unless you go national like Greenberg did. I'd make sure I'm building other skills unless I'm really damn sure I'll be the next McNeil, Greenberg or Bernstein.

Heard Connor two or three weeks ago on AM 1000 on Saturday morning.

I immediately punched the button.

He is on two or three for the same guy, North has one, some non-Doug Buffone has one and Peggy K has one with her college age son. I tried to listen to one with Shuster and Les once but fell asleep

Yeah, I was curious for six or seven minutes then remembered why I usually can't listen to Les for much more than ten minutes. I thought maybe the lack of callers would help.

I tried 2 or 3 times to listen to Les & Shuster, but each time quit after 2 minutes.

Schuster is a reporter, plain and simple. In a show format, he becomes a cure for insomnia.

Les is walking, talking stats encyclopedia. Not much there either.
