It will look like a firing but with 18 months on his contract, they were looking to get rid of him.

The guy has lived a charmed life, working 15 minutes a day with a million dollar contract for a good portion. No tears for him.

I would bet he gets a full time gig on radio. However, he will be 69 (nice!) in a couple of months. Does he really want to work that hard?

I think the reason Burton took such offense is that she really has always seemed like an empty head, one of those people who will read whatever is on the teleprompter. She never seemed to have a grasp of any of the subject matter. I think she is always fighting the ditzy stereotype as a former cheerleader who, IIRC got into a sticky situation dating players. Then she got into news and was nailing Jim Rose as a young beat reporter.

She must be bright with a degree in Bio from the U of i. She just doesn't show it.

I'm amazed white male media people keep making these blunders. He's on such a short time each day. Very little ad-lib time. And he does it. Les blabbers about nothing for 5 hours and is petrified to give a controversial opinion. He loves everyone, everything, there's a 50/50 chance, we'll wait and see, doesn't effect me, not my money approach. But he doesn't ever put his foot in the trap. Still has a job.
