It is, but who is going to listen to a WBBM podcast? People literally just turn it on in the car to get traffic and know which expressway to avoid. I don't think anyone is running to WBBM.com or their app looking for podcasts.

Honest opinion. They're trying to force Jay out. You can get kids to answer the phone and play the stupid sound bites. It used to be that radio producers were in their 20s. Then they go away to get real jobs. SCORE guys stick arounds longer.

They convinced Jay this is a better job. It's not. It's a bullshit job that will produce no money for the company. Jay has convinced himself this is not the case.

Jay probably tells his wife this is a move on up. It's not. This positions will not exist in a year. Whatever the fuck this position is.

I feel the opposite way: it sounds like more of a sinecure to me. I don't know how it can be, given how broke Entercom is, but Vice President of Uploading Podcasts? That's just paying a guy to be around.

Yeah. They're kind of telling him to go do something else so they can hire younger and cheaper guys. Because I suspect a guy like Jay gets raises through the years just for getting older. But the SCORE has figured out to just get the 22 year old producer at 30k rather then the 45 year old producers at 55k.

I don't think Polish is a protected class, but maybe someone crunched the numbers and decided it was better to warehouse him in a do-nothing job than cut him and deal with whatever.

You kind of feel bad for guys like Jay. Cuz at this point in their lives, they can't do anything else. Christ, drinky is bartending now. They all think they are gonna be media stars when they get that producer job. That never happens.

I thought Drinky was in payroll management and/or selling supplements.

I'm not knocking him for that. I think being a bartender is a harder/more complex job then producing a radio show. I mean that.

Wasn't there also something on the board about how he offered to come to people's houses and cook dinner for them? or did I just imagine that?
