I used to listen to Nick and found his show real entertaining. After 2016, he started to get political on his shows and get sensitive to any criticism. Plus, he started to come off as a creepy old man.

Not surprising that he's still not working in radio.

Yeah, same here. He was a real enjoyable listen when he was just telling crazy stories and doing movie reviews. I never felt he was creepy towards the end, I just thought the show content was boring as hell once he went full time. I guess that happens to all the radio guys once they hit their 50's. Plus, he definitely joined the woke crowd. So depressing that he decided to go that way.

You'll have to be more specific. I believe he's on his third Mrs. Grobber

I think Nick worked long enough and in an era when radio hosts still made OK money so that he doesn't have to get another media job.

35 years at 1 station is nothing to scoff at.

I doubt he has fyou money based on 28 pt years and seven years working full-time overnight. Many here probably make more than a full time overnight host on WGN did.

In the book The Godfather, Puzo describes how Sonny was so well endowed that his wife feared the wedding chamber like the rack and prostitutes demanded double the pay to work with him. I don't imagine any of Les' former paramours left because of dislike, but because of battle fatigue.

It's a well-worn topic at this point, but if you think this message board turned on Dan Bernstein, it's nothing compared to the way the bigger Chicago media boards gave up on Nick Digilio. From "he should be the afternoon host" to "get off my radio and never work in this business again." Well, they got what they wanted eventually!

I think Larz used to have a board. There was a radio-discussions board that used to be active. There's that weird board that's unofficially built around Feder's blog. They all have or had a guy named Jeremy Andrews on them, who I'm surprised isn't here.

I remember Les used to prank the new Bulls players by pulling it out and hiding it behind his tape recorder when he'd go into the locker room for interviews. He'd pull the ol' "I can't hear you, let me move this tape recorder closer to you" trick and then leave the wang whipping in the wind. Cracked up Cartwright.

all great places to go if you want to hear people bitch about WBBM not having live traffic reports at 3 am on Sunday, or being able to watch the Gary PBS station from Lake Geneva with a tripolar omnidirectional antenna with quadrangular phrased harmonics!

You may not like it but Gilmore Girls is one of the best shows of the 2000s. Nick is still a weirdo, though.
