Haven't listened much to overnights so painfully boring. Les was boring, but he created funny content with his stupidity.

Put it on and one of Les' wack.pack callers Tom from Algonquin called. Tom was Les' main whipping boy. Interrupting mid-sentence, calling him stupid, making him wait on hold. Les would hang up on him when Tom complained about waiting, or for no reason. Tom's of sound mind apparently, but took the abuse for who knows why.

Grote let Tom talk then Tom's wife talked for a combined near ½ an hour. Tom doesn't have cable. His wife said she records games off the radio for him while he's at work. These are types of Les' simple but very decent people wack pack callers Les would get and mistreat. People down on their luck, menial jobs, some very ill Les would crap all over. That's why it was so gratifying to hear Les endlessly pranked and the few times he caught on go into panic mode.
