Per Jeff Agrest in the Sun Times, Stadium going to take over for NBC Sports Chicago. This was probably as close to a sure thing with NBC Sports wanting to get out of this business for a while and Reinsdorf buying out Sinclair last year.

NBC Sports Chicago is a low rent operation, but I have no confidence in a Jerry Reinsdorf-run sports network/ app being competently executed.

Wonder if we'll get some fresh faces or if it'll be same old, same old. In the cases of Chris Vosters fumbling through Hawks games and Cole Wright at Marquee, guess new isn't always better.

You can only subscribe for these apps if you're in-market, right? I can't live in Arizona and just buy the Stadium option (or what the Cubs offer), but would have to pay for the MLB/NBA package, right?

The local aspects of the various Sox/Hawks/Bulls channels going all the way back to Sportsvision have always had a low rent aspect to them.

According to wikipedia Stadium's local over-the-air affiliate is a subchannel of the Hammond infomercial/Jesus station? That'd fit the current Sox for sure

Will Vanderbilt. He's not good enough to be named after a Big 10 school.

Isn't stadium a Free channel on Roku TV? I'm assuming they're going to have a stand-alone app like the Marquee Network. How much do you think it will cost?

To watch the Sox, Bulls and Hawks...I'd say if they pay me like $20 a month we could get it done

Anyone know the answer to this?

You would have to get the MLB Extra Innings (cable/ satelite) or MLB.TV (streaming) if out of market. They will have the feeds, would not be able to get the Marquee app if out of the parts of Illinois/Iowa/Indiana/Wisconsin/Nebraska/Michigan which count as the Cubs home region.
