Yeah, no kidding. For her of all people to say something like that is especially ridiculous. That must be why many of her photos so prominently featured her...journalistic integrity.

Not to go all spmack on the brotherhood but Rachel Dratch would get it from me.

I know, I know. I didn't choose my preferences. I was born with them.

This.

Feder is ridiculously well respected. He's been doing this forever and still makes a living at it. Pissing him off is not a smart move.

So, Bob owes Sally a duty to vote in the manner Sally decides?

Seems fairly crazy that ESPN employees are allowed to call more than half the country racist without repercussion.

You're allowed to have open and ardent political views at ESPN...so long as they are the popular, agreeable ones. See? Simple!

It's perfectly fine not to want to be friends with Curt Schilling.

If shit gets too real they'll just promote her to "special projects" again.

People could tweet at EPSN something like "If Sarah Spain wants to insult nearly half of the country and wants nothing to do with them I don't want anything to do with her, either. I will not listen to The Trifecta or patronize its sponsors."

If you're going to fire Curt Schilling , her tweet was easily on par with his.

They're fine with a certain "type" of controversy. It's why Bomani Jones can wear a shirt with a racist caricature of white people on a nationally-televised ESPN show and come away unscathed (despite the obvious--and correct--point of Jones, it is unquestionable that the caricature was derogatory). Why Spain can imply roughly half of the network's viewers are "racist, ableist, xenophobic, misogynistic[,] sexual predator[s]" and not get fired or otherwise reprimanded.

I feel weird linking to Breitbart, but the story they're covering here is a 4,000 word odyssey that I'm not keen on combing through:

http://www.breitbart.com/sports/2016/11 ... k-liberal/

Brady also mentions the growing list of commentators who have been fired or punished for expressing conservative ideas. Noticeably absent are liberal commentators, who haven’t been sanctioned by the bosses.

Despite this lopsided fact, one ESPN anchor told Brady that he thinks everything is going wonderfully at ESPN, but maybe there are some small problems.

“We’ve done a great job of diversity,” said longtime ESPN anchor Bob Ley. “But the one place we have miles to go is diversity of thought.”

Brady added to that thought by saying he has spoken to many who think things are not going so well behind the scenes.

Quoting an ESPN guy wrote:
Many ESPN employees I talked to — including liberals and conservatives, most of whom preferred to speak on background — worry that the company’s politics have become a little too obvious, empowering those who feel as if they’re in line with the company’s position and driving underground those who don’t.

“If you’re a Republican or conservative, you feel the need to talk in whispers,” one conservative ESPN employee said. “There’s even a fear of putting Fox News on a TV [in the office].”

Has she renounced her Cub fandom yet? Has her fiancee shut down his Cub-related paper/website because the team is owned by Trump's biggest supporters including a cabinet member?
