To be fair to Julie, I saw on Reddit the other day a quote from Prince when holograms of dead artists performing first stared rising to prominence, absolutely lampooning the practice.

yeah, but it wasn't a Prince hologram, it was just live footage.
I think the hologram idea got nixed pretty quickly, and Paisley Park signed off on the end product.
