No because Nelly Korda has literally won five out of her last five starts and it would have been so easy to Google this. Women's sports count

Scottie Scheffler claims fourth win in five starts. Is he the most dominant golfer since
Tiger Woods in his prime?

Ok Julie

100% guaranteed she hijacked that thought from someone else while googling a name she heard of 5 seconds ago. She isn't fooling ANYBODY.

Not to take anything away from Korda, but Scottie's 5th start was a runner-up and his scoring average is one full shot less than hers. He also is 15 more shots under par than her in the 5 starts. It would be easy to Google this too, July.

He also plays championship courses at about a thousand yards longer than the courses Nelly plays on.

You can't take that into account when comparing men and women golfers though. Of course the professional men hit it farther. If they played head-to-head she would play forward tees. The point to which she responded was about dominance.

Scottie Sheffler would literally win every start on an LPGA course against LPGA players. Nelly Korda wouldnt make a cut on the PGA Tour. Its ridiculous to even argue which is more impressive.

"Women's sports count"

Not really. They are just a form of restricted competition, like the senior golf tour or 12U baseball. It's also ironic coming from the person who claims trans women should compete against biological women. If this discussion was about a winning streak in swimming, would she actually use Lia Thomas as an example of woman dominance?

Which she heard somewhere and regurgitated it as her own thought. Let's not pretend there's anything inside that giant head of hers except rot.

No, it isn't. That's what's great about golf is that the playing field can be equalized. Of course elite men would beat elite women in any sport head-to-head. Even July isn't arguing that. The post was about dominance in professional golf, and Nelly is pretty damn dominant right now. You can't argue that.

Without mentioning "trans" at all, this guy explains why "trans women", i.e. men, can and will strip actual women of whatever "rights" they think they have and there's nothing women can do about it.

I get it's about dominance, which is why I made mention of the differences in course setups: winning 4 out of 5 on PGA Tour lengths and conditions against a PGA Tour field is, IMO, more dominant than winning 5 of 5 at 6400 yards against a less impressive LPGA field, despite the technical statistical difference. Both are dominant, one just more so than the other, and it is certainly not as clear cut in favor of Korda as July makes it out to be.

I think you are selling LPGA players short. I would venture to guess Nelly and Scottie have very similar handicaps.

Once you are out of the tee box it's equalized more or less, no? 50 ft putt is a 50 ft putt. Or is it that first drive it really it because dudes and chicks dig the long ball?

I tend to think the courses overall are easier. Not just the distances. Play Augusta with shorter tee boxes on par 4 and 5s and let's see.

Nelly is one of the longer hitters out there on the LPGA. It is not at all ridiculous to argue that with her A game working, she could make a cut at a PGA tournament. She'd never win, but she may be able to finish top 30-40 depending on the course and the field.

That said, the correct line here is Prime Tiger >>> Scheffler's current run >>>>>>> Korda

Not if they are playing the same tees. The men would be hitting short irons into the greens while the women would be hitting long iron or hybrids.

I didn't know they played different courses. More research!

I would hope that aside from strength an elite woman golfer could play a tougher course similar to a man.

That's what I meant by once out of the tees it should be more or less equal. We can't make a first drive like you all. Maybe on longer holes guys might be at a 1 stroke advantage or so depending on how somebody would have to adjust with irons? That's a question - I don't play golf enough to know.

My mom was a really good golfer. She played in city tournaments when she could come up with the scratch. I couldn't beat her until I was in my 30's when I got semi-serious about the game. But she had also gotten about 5 strokes worse due to age. There wasn't an up and down she couldn't pull off. So I'm not against thinking women could go head to head with men on a length handicapped course. I sure would like to see it.

I'm seeing a graphic that has Nelly's stock driver yardage at 250. There are guys on tour that hit that with their 4 iron, so if she's making a cut at a PGA event it would have to be at a shorter course like Harbour Town or TPC River Highlands, but even that's still 6800 yards.
