You aren't reading it wrong. But when you look at ratings you will see that overall numbers can fluctuate wildly over one month. (See B&B's numbers for January as an example of this.) I used to be a 100% Mac apologist. But his new gig sucks for his fans. I am glad it is working out for him, part time with plenty of pay. If that helps him sleep at night, then so be it. As a fan of his sports talk, I lose. When I want to listen to classic rock, Pandora is the way to go.

Mac talking classic rock always reminded me of North talking politics - they both thought they knew more than they did and that listeners valued their opinions. That said, I can understand and appreciate him pursuing another avenue if it brought excitement back to the job. I just wonder if it will last. Sportstalk can certainly hit the doldrums but interesting storylines are always around the corner. By definition, Classic Rock is a pretty stagnant genre.
