Alcohol poisoning ended Ronald Belfast Scott at 33. Never saw AC/DC with Bon. I would have enjoyed that. While I also appreciate Brian Johnson and "Back In Black" is decidedly their most successful album, "Powerage" and "Highway To Hell" are superior. Mt. Rushmore of Bon Scott songs: "Dirty Deeds," "Sin City," "Problem Child" "If You Want Blood, You Got It."

McMurray said to me yesterday "doesn't it suck AC/DC is on a weeknight in September." No, I said. It means I won't have to wait long to assess the show and the Wrigley experience (for something much nastier than McCartney or Billy Joel crowd).

My 3 favorite AC/DC albums are High Voltage, Dirty Deeds, and Highway to Hell...Back in Black feels very overrated to me, but Rock and Roll ain't noise pollution is as good as it gets for the Brian Johnson era in my opinion.

Welcome back, Mac...

Bill Burr riffs on visiting Bon Scott's grave near Perth this month while on his stand-up tour down under.

http://podbay.fm/show/480486345/e/14228 ... utostart=1

Bon Scott portion starts around minute 15 and again around 20.

I guess Bon Scott's mom, now well into her 90's, used to visit his grave near Perth daily.

Dirty Deeds for favorite AC/DC album. Squealer for favorite tune.

AC/DC w/Bon Scott was the first concert for young Furious.

"Walk All Over You" is my jam.

I had heard that much of Back in Black had been written for Bon Scott to sing. Kind of hard to imagine.

Great call on Sin City. Heard Down Payment Blues of all things on Ozzy's Boneyard this morning and had to do a double-take.

I dunno, I guess. I know you have a thing for Bon Scott but when I think of ac/dc I think of the songs after his death. Brian Johnson was a great replacement , and Back in Black is what I think of when I think of AC/DC.

That and

Bon Scott checked out at the right time. At least no one had too see him perform while old and bad.

I hope not. He would smell a bit after 35 years.

You ever hear the one about the dog who had his nose chopped off and the wound just sat untreated and got infected? He smelled badly.

Highway to Hell LP is near perfect AC/DC. Whole Lotta Rosie, Sin City and Long Way... very good also.

The biggest urban legend is that Back In Black was a tribute album for Bon. The album was written already, and you can find clips on YouTube of Bon singing Back In Black. Would've loved to have heard that album with Bon singing. I've always been a Bon guy. Favorite album and most underrated IMO is Powerage!
