Looking at the ratings, WRDV's morning drive has been consistently top 10. Almost top 5 with a 4.0 share at times. Dropped down to a 3.0 share in December but bounced back to 3.3--about the same as M&H on WSCR in January.


Master Chief must've been cashing a decent check for radio in 2015--seeing how they were able to get 2 veteran radio guys in at or below whatever he was making.

Everyone takes a dip in December because 93.9 devours the market with all-Christmas. They practically make budget for the whole year on those six weeks.

that must be the giant demo of people who listen to christmas music because it's christmastime. my mom's one of those people and this year she was going on about how january 12th or something is THE OFFICIAL END OF THE HOLIDAY SEASON so everyone had to leave decorations up and keep pumping christmas music til then. THAT'S JUST WHAT YOU DO!

Remember that ratings are tracked with little pagers that pick up radio signals and record what they hear, so when everyone is playing the Lite FM at the office or at stores or whatever, you end up "hearing" the station whether you like it or not. Combine that with people who actually do like listening to the same fifty Christmas songs on a constant loop and that's how you jump from a 3.whatever to a FOURTEEN!! for the holiday rating period, then drop back down into the pack right after.

Why would the music station’s longtime loyal listeners, including those who listened during morning drive with host Steve Downes, give a care about what Mac has to say about the Bears or whatever?

I dont get this show, when they finally do talk its not organic... its clearly pre-planned topics with no carry over between segments... just not my cup of tea i guess

I haven't tried it in several days. Kind of forgot about it. Too bad.

I turned it on this morning and heard them talking about attractive older women. When they agreed that Diane Keaton (at her current age) was the epitome of sexy, I went back to the AM band. Quickly. Even in her heyday, Diane Keaton never screamed sexy. School marm, yes. Sexy? Please.
