The portion of a Kaplan-hosted show that is not comprised of him talking about his Corvette, his diet, his bench press, or not so tactfully telling people that he coached college basketball and scouted in the NBA is filled with him throwing out hypothetical situations to try and prove his point. That wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing if he didn't do it 10 times.

"OK, so the GM of [insert team here] comes to you and says we'll give you..."

"OK, so they offer you x million over x years..."

"OK, so I'm at the gym and just got done gunning my lats and blasting my quads. I'm in the parking lot and find that Jay Glazer, who is even cheesier than I am, has parked his lifted Hummer too close to my 'vette..."

I caught a story yesterday that took him a few minutes to tell. The summary was "I went to dinner with Waddle and Silvy on Saturday, and we plowed through three bottles of expensive wine." It made me long for Laurence's pizza story.

Kaplan and Jurko just spent 45 minutes talking about Arrietta and his contract, if I'm the Cubs I don't offer Jake anything after this season..milk him as much as ya can this year and wish him good luck..these two dopes are debating whether to give him 4 or 5 years.

He and Laurence are veary similar. He's not as much as a creeper/perv as Laurence, but they both brag about themselves all the damn time.

I flipped over the WSCR during that and they were talking to a caller about why black people get pulled over. It's times like this I miss The Game.

The Game was fine. A nice alternative when 670 aired the Sox and 1000 was national.

Saw him gush like an infatuated school boy on STL a couple of years ago when David DeJesus and his attractive wife were on talking about nutrition and health.

It was an uneasy watch and I think he really thought he was hiding it well.

All in all, I don't mind Kap in small doses.

On Sportstalk Live yesterday Kap kept repeating that he would "defend to the death" Kaepernick's right to sit during the anthem. I really wish he would.

He's a strange looking little man. Such a big head on a short body. He and Jay Glazer could be a midget wrestling team.

Kaplan has asked every person I've heard him interview about the NFL draft if, knowing what they know now about (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky, they would draft him before drafting any of the QBs in this year's draft. He is beyond all in on (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky and Pace and wants everyone to agree with him.
