LaVar Ball will be a guest on Kap's show today at 10:00.

What will David Kaplan tell LaVar Ball in order to establish his basketball cred?
A. "When I was a coach at Northern Illinois University..."
B. "When I was an NBA scout for the Pacers and SuperSonics..."
C. "So, I was in my Corvette on the way to meet [insert name of well-known coach here]..."
D. "My wife Mindy, who works for Lou Malnati's, did all the research and decided to buy a MyPillow."
E. All of the above

This might be interesting . Kap doesn't like him. We'll see if he soft shoes it or goes after him.

Kaplan talking to Zambrano the other night was like watching a kid meet a Super Hero. Kap is the Cubs version of Zack.


Beardown once wrote a very eloquent post about Zack in the middle of a Bears huddle at practice and they all started jumping with him in the middle and he had a goofy grin and seemed to be enjoying it

Kap gives out that Vibe talking to any Cub who is decent

His schtick is to call callers Sparkles, Cookie, etc.

Kap definitely seems like that when talking to Cub players. Not as bad as Harry's "Hey Mike Fontenot, you're Mike Fontenot. How awesome is that? What's it like being so awesome?", but it's kind of silly.
